Tutorials? Sketches? Videos?

AHA! I said I was going to do another post and I DID! ... Greatest acheivement whoooooo~!

Okay. Lately I've been more into drawing than writing. Instead of fighting it, I went with it. So that means a lot of sketches. A lot. This is just going to be a dump. I won't post them all at once, but bit by bit.

Believe it or not, I even made a tutorial! There have been a few people who wanted one on deviantART. I'll post the tutorial here to. Just in case some poor innocent chap decided to enter my crap on a whim ^^;

Son of a bitch?!

So, I disappeared from here for a while. Aha.... And here I thought that I was going to update this blog on a daily basis. Then again, I think about a lot of things. >.<>

BUT BEHOLD~ New sketches. Some are recent while some are as old as Alexander the great. That was a lie. Seriously though, there are some sketches that are over a month old. :/

This was originally sketched for someone as a reference. Didn't think I'd like it this much. especially that lttle argument scene at the bottom.

After much whining, we finially borrowed an xBox 360. Street Fighter IV was awesome. XD I did Cammy as a tribute. Also, another reference image done for someone (right).

Miho from MegaTokyo, I will DEFINITELY draw more MegaTokyo. XDAnd Hiko from my original comic Occupational Hazard (right). I finally got my a real watermark aha.

More Occupational Hazard stuff ;3. Kami and Ayame (top) and Hiko and Miko (bottom). They kind of look like trading cards or something XD Will definitely do more of these.

Since money is looking scarce, a little too scarce (eats a crumb of cheese), I’m going to be offering commissions, so I hope there are a few people out there who are interested (I’m counting on all of you who have characters and/ stories).

Most of my work is sketched traditionally, then scanned and inked and colored digitally. I can ink traditionally, but mostly do it through the coputer.

.:ARTIST INFORMATION:.

Strengths
1) I can imitate a variety of art styles. If you have a particular fan-based character, I can imitate the style if given reference
2) I don’t have a problem drawing any of the sexes. I am much more used to drawing female characters, but I can also do male characters.
3) I can draw mecha. I can handle mechanical aspects of design but am more comfortable with drawing mecha and robots rather than vehicles.

Weaknesses
1) I am not very good with detailed backgrounds. I can do a fairly decent urban landscape, but mountains, trees, lakes, beaches etc. are definitely something I am not good at.
2) I find it difficult to draw undead characters. As cool as any skeletal character can be, I’m pretty bad at drawing the details of these types.
3) I am not very keen on drawing anthros or humanoids, but I can manage if given the time.

Here are a couple of things I WILL NOT DRAW
1) Pornography. Something a little risqué is fine, but nothing beyond that.
2) Monsters from games/anime like Resident Evil, Ninja Blade, Dead Space or anything of the like. My reason being that anything that is similar to a zombie makes me a little urk.
3) I won’t draw anything with only a written description. There has to be some form of drawn reference. You can even send me a picture of an existing character and say: he/she/it looks a little like him/her/it. I’ve had problems with these kinds of things before and I wouldn’t want to go through it again.

Prices remain the same whether it is a bust, half or full body. These sketches can either be done digitally or traditionally. These are sketches, meaning they’re pretty messy but solid at the same time.

Linearts can be done either digitally or traditionally. If they’re done traditionally, they’d be inked by an Artline DRAWING SYSTEM (01, 0.3 or 0.4), a Steadtler Pigment Liner (0.05) or a Unipin Fine Line (0.05).
If they are done digitally, I’ll either use OpenCanvas v1 or PaintTool SAI (I’ll most likely use SAI because I like the outcome more).
I’m also offering black and white colors for linearts. Again, they can either be done digitally or traditionally.

When I am finished with the order, I will send you an email to let you know.

Digital orders: I will ask whether you want me to post it online or send it to you through e-mail. If I post them online, they’ll most likely be either on MARKER PENNY (My art blog) or my DeviantART account (http://shenli.deviantart.com).

Traditional orders: I will ask whether you want me to scan it and send it to you digitally (I may ask whether or not you’d like me to post it online.). If you’d like me send it to you through post, you’ll have to pay for shipment.
